I think your hunters star looks really nice i am going to do one is it hard to put together? . Do you know of a site that i could get a breakdown on it.
Thanks for your note. That Hunter's Star is my second attempt. The first time I tried it, I designed the quilt in EQ4 and then tried cutting out all the pieces using templates. I think I got about 2 blocks made and that was after taking them apart many times. Just too much bias and I had even starched the fabrics.
Then a friend told me about a pattern from a local quilt shop. The pattern has a real unique way of cutting the pieces starting with squares. It's MUCH easier. You can find the pattern here: http://thecalicocat.com/patterns7.htm
Scroll down towards the bottom of the screen. You are looking for a red and white quilt, Hunters Star Quilt Pattern by Jeannie Steinhorst
My friend did hers in muslin and various greens and it looked great.
